Synopsis

The First Women tells the story of the women who paved the way for women’s soccer in Brazil. At a time when the sport was discouraged — and even banned for women — these pioneers challenged social norms and fought for the right to play. Through intimate interviews and archival footage, the film honors their courage, resilience, and lasting impact, revealing how their struggle opened doors for future generations of athletes.
